Relief for acute diarrhoea and IBS-D symptoms
A tasteless, oral gel for IBS-D and acute diarrhoea. It is not absorbed into the body and works physically in the gut, with published science behind it.
Always read the instructions before use. Drink plenty of fluids during diarrhoea, and seek medical advice if symptoms persist for more than 2 days, or if there is fever, blood in the stool, dehydration, severe stomach pain, or diarrhoea and vomiting together.
Is ENTEROSGEL® for me?
IBS-D
IBS-D means Irritable Bowel Syndrome with diarrhoea. It is a form of IBS where loose or frequent stools are a regular part of the pattern, often along with urgency, bloating or abdominal discomfort. Enterosgel is designed to act locally in the gut and may help reduce diarrhoea-related symptoms in people with IBS-D, including stool frequency, urgency, bloating and abdominal pain. For IBS-D, it may be used for up to 30 days, with a break between repeated courses.
Acute Diarrhoea
Acute diarrhoea means diarrhoea that comes on suddenly and is usually short-lived. It can happen with a stomach bug, food-related upset, or when travelling, and often involves frequent loose or watery stools. Enterosgel is taken by mouth after the first loose stool and works in the gut, where it physically binds selected unwanted substances and helps carry them out of the body. For acute diarrhoea, treatment is usually taken for 3–5 days.
Not Absorbed - Enterosgel is not absorbed into the bloodstream; it works locally in the gut and is passed out with the stool.
Suitable for the Family - Can be used by adults and children, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding when used as directed.
Easy to take - A tasteless oral gel that can be mixed with water and taken after the first loose stool.
Science backed - Supported by published studies in acute diarrhoea, IBS-D and paediatric diarrhoea contexts.
